Since early August, the bidirectional interface between DATEV and Dyflexis has been live. Master data now flows automatically from DATEV to Dyflexis, and recorded time and attendance data flows back from Dyflexis to DATEV. Already working with one of the two systems and wondering what this means for you? Here's what changes in practice.

What is the bidirectional DATEV interface?

Until now, data exchange went in one direction: at the end of the pay period, Dyflexis sent the hours worked to DATEV LODAS or DATEV Lohn und Gehalt. Everything else was manual work. Master data was maintained in both systems in parallel.

The bidirectional interface closes the loop. Through the DATEV Lohnaustauschdatenservice, employee master data and contract data are synced directly from DATEV to the employee file in Dyflexis. No retyping, no double maintenance, no guessing which version is current.

What are the benefits of the interface?

Corrections that never happen A transposed number is rarely noticed in the same month. It's noticed when employees read their pay slips, and then come recalculations, correction reports and an awkward conversation. Because hours, surcharges and allowances are no longer typed over but transferred, the source of errors disappears before payroll instead of after it. New employees can be scheduled right away

Anyone added to DATEV today appears shortly afterward in the Dyflexis employee file with contract type, contract hours and role, and can be scheduled. In industries with high turnover, that's the difference between "on the schedule from next week" and "as soon as someone has entered the data."

Month-end closing shrinks from days to minutes

Exporting an Excel list, transferring values, updating changes, checking everything again: this whole block disappears. Your team puts the time this frees up into work that actually has an impact.

Fewer questions between accounting firm and client

Both sides look at the same data. Questions like "Where do these twelve hours of SFN surcharge come from?" answer themselves, because every value can be traced back to the recorded shift. This not only takes pressure off payroll, but also helps with the obligation to document working hours.

Secure data exchange

Master data and time and attendance data are exchanged through a secure connection from the DATEV data center, not by email or file. Dyflexis is also ISO 27001 certified.

"We get far fewer questions about payroll. Everyone sees their hours in the app, reports discrepancies right away and requests vacation directly there. That saves both sides a lot of paperwork."

Frequently asked questions

What do I need for activation?

  • DATEV LODAS or DATEV Lohn und Gehalt

  • The DATEV Lohnaustauschdatenservice, ordered and set up through MyDATEV client registration

  • Dyflexis with the DATEV interface activated

Coordinate the setup with your tax accounting firm: access rights are granted together.

Which data is exchanged?

DATEV provides employee master data and contract data, including job, contract type, contract hours and pay data. Dyflexis sends back time and attendance data: hours worked, absences, overtime, SFN surcharges, travel costs and individual allowances.

Do we still need to maintain master data in both systems?

No. Master data is maintained in DATEV and transferred automatically to Dyflexis. Double maintenance is no longer needed.

Is the data exchange GDPR compliant?

Yes. The exchange runs through the DATEV Lohnaustauschdatenservice and therefore through a secure connection from the DATEV data center. Dyflexis is ISO 27001 certified.

What changes for our tax accounting firm?

The firm receives complete and consistent data, without manual master data maintenance. Payroll itself stays unchanged in DATEV.

How often is the data synchronized?

Each Dyflexis environment syncs automatically three times a day. At each of these times, employee data is retrieved from DATEV and updated in Dyflexis. You can also trigger a sync manually in Dyflexis if changes need to be available sooner.

What does the interface cost?

The interface is included in the Suite package, from €5.50 per employee per month.

How do I activate the interface?
